Down Hockey Club is looking to appoint a head coach for the 2008 /
2009 Season.
The Ladies 1st XI play in Senior League One, while the 2nd XI competes
in
Junior One; the 1st XI also competes in the Winemark Shield and the
Irish Cup.
Training takes place every Monday (9pm - 10pm) and Wednesday evening
(7pm - 8.30pm before Christmas & 8.30pm - 10pm after Christmas)
at Comber Leisure Centre, with matches on Saturday afternoons. Home
matches are at Comber Leisure Centre.
The hockey club itself is thriving on and off the pitch, with many
social fundraisers throughout the year (usually held in North Down
Cricket Club), alongside the end of season dinner and have just hosted
an excellent
Easter Tournament which will be an annual fixture!
The 1st XI coach will ideally have:
* Level 1 Coaching
* Experience of coaching hockey at a senior level (male or female)
* Ability to attend training session on Monday (ideally) and Wednesday
* Available for Saturday matches

Ladies Hockey club are looking for an energetic and proactive person
to fulfil the role of the club’s Assistant Coach. Main duties
would be to assist the Head Coach in all areas of coaching within
the club which includes 1stXI (Senior One) 2ndXI (Junior Three), 3rdXI
(Junior Eleven) and with the UUJ Hockey Academy. more

Greenisland
Ladies wish to appoint a Head Coach for the 2008-09 season.
Candidates must possess Level 1 coaching qualification with Level
2 desirable. Experience of coaching ladies hockey at Senior level
is essential.
With the 1st XI having consolidated their position in Senior 1 and
the 2nd XI newly promoted to Junior 2, there is scope for Greenisland
Ladies
to push for even greater achievements. The Club has Coaches in place
for each of the 2nd - 5th XI teams and has a thriving U14 section.
Pre-season training is scheduled for w/c 21 July, please make initial

We Need New Ideas!

1st, 2nd and 3rd Xls are sorted!
There is a vibrant Junior Coaching Team!
What is missing is an aspiring coach
to lead general club training; that’s the 4th – 7th
Xls (Junior Leagues 3-9).
Sessions are at least 3 Monday nights per month (possibly fitness
coach to share) during the season.
• Level 1 qualification desirable,
Or, we would consider helping with costs if you are ambitious and
committed.
• Enthusiasm essential!
